Philosophy on Exercise: To know my philosophy, know my story: I was an overweight child and by the age of 16, I found myself weighing 350 pounds! I was disgusted with the way I looked, fatigued constantly, and was having difficulty enjoying life. I made it my goal to take control of my health, become nutritionally aware, and start exercising regularly. After making outstanding lifestyle changes, I lost over 150 pounds in 1 year! I vowed to not stop there. I began Resistance Training regularly and gained 15 pounds of lean muscle mass. I majored in Applied Physiology Kinesiology at the University of Florida to dive deeper into exercise science. I am very zealous about fitness and the impact it can have on our health - I've now decided to pursue a Masters of Science in Human Performance here at the University of Florida.

As your Sweat Life Coach, I want to help you reach your fitness goals, push past your physical limits, and ultimately promote your longevity.

Practice/Philosophy: I believe that effective massage can be gentle. I work with the body, not against or through it, to provide relief to my clients. I am a lifelong student, continuously seeking knowledge about the body and looking for unique ways to approach discomfort. My interest in working with women’s health also makes me a go-to resource for low back and pelvic pain.

Becky Cumbaa, BS, RYT 200


Certification/ Degree: 200 hour registered Yoga teacher through the Vida Asana School of Yoga. BS- Recreation, Parks and Tourism with an emphasis in Natural Resource Management from the University of Florida.

Experience: New to teaching yoga around town. I gained the majority of my experience through dance and yoga classes growing up. I taught my first class in Costa Rica and now I am excited to be teaching in Gainesville!

Philosophy/ Practice: Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of devotion. It helps to harmonize the mind with the Self or Soul. My personal philosophy is: we can’t heal if we don’t feel.

Hobbies: cooking and hanging with my pup, Prince. Practicing yoga is essential for me to feel my best.
